Did I really set my alarm for that? It's not like the race was boring. Not at all. But.... ARG!
Yesterday things went pretty well but today way a disaster! I'd have prefered it the other way round.
I'm kinda happy for Kovalainen but that's about it.

results:
1. Lewis Hmailton
2. Heiki Kovalainen
3. Kimi Räikkönen
4. David Couthard
5. Giancarlo Fisichella
6. Felipe Massa
7. Robert Kubica
8. Adrian Sutil
9. Vitantonio Liuzzi (25 sec penalty)
10. Rubens Barichello
11. Jenson Button
12. Sakon Yamamoto
13. Jarno Trulli
14. Nick Heidfeld
15. Takuma Sato

Jenson had this fatastic qualifying yesterday. And with the rain today I was very optimsitic. So was he according to the interviews I've read. And it probably would have worked out if it hadn't been for the accident with Heidfeld. RTL bugged me because they wouldn't stop picking on Jense and with him having said in team radio during the SC that it was impossible to keep the car under control on the straight they said something like: Jenson should have given up so he at least hadn't hit Heidfeld. Shut up! I don't see it being Jenson's fault at all. I'm not saying it was Heidfeld's fault either. It was a normal accident. They happen. Jense seemed to have quite a good race after that. But of course much further back. And his car giving up in the last lap was just the proper ending to this race.

I didn't see much of Ant aside from when re retired.

Things looked really good for Mark. Podium was within reach and then Vettel hit him. As well. I had really been impressed by Vettel but he did some huge mistakes in the race. He hit Alonso and Mark so he lost my credit again pretty fast. I know he's young an inexperienced but still. Mark seemed very frustrated. And I heard he has food poisoning as well. Poor guy.

I guess that's it with the world championship for Alonso. His race was... take a guess: Exactly, frustrating. He had bad luck after his first pit stop coming back on the track midfield just because he came to the pits one lap later than Hamilton. Then Vettel hit him and damaged his car. Fortunately he could drive on and under that conditions maybe the handicap wasn't even noticable that much. But then he spun and hit the wall. Aquaplaning. Probably cost him the championship. There's still a slight chance but it doesn't look good.

Seems like Ferrari is still complaining about the story with the tyre. But seriously: Who starts on intermediates under conditions like that anyway?

Btw. So much for the race control listening to the drivers. I heard at least three drivers complaining that it was virtually impossible to drive under those conditions even behind the SC. Jenson, Trulli and Schumacher speaking as head of the GPDA. And it seems like many of the drivers still think that they should have stopped that race.

Can we please have Suzuka back?

Edit: With all the disappointment I completely forgot: The fight between Massa and Kubica in the last few corners? Amazing! That's what I want racing to be like.

*seufz*
