Not exactly the most interesting race ever but at least the result is what I was hoping for.
1.Fernando Alonso
2.Lewis Hamilton
3.Kimi Räikkönen
4.Nick Heidfeld
5.Robert Kubica
6.Nico Rosberg
7.Heikki Kovalainen
8.Jenson Button
9.Mark Webber
10.Rubens Barrichello
11.Jarno Trulli
12.Giancarlo Fisichella
13.Alex Wurz
14.Anthony Davidson
15.Ralf Schumacher
16.Takuma Sato
17.Vitantonio Liuzzi
18.Sebastian Vettel
19.Adrian Sutil
20.Sakon Yamamoto
Another championship point for Jenson. Every single one he gets feels so precious this year that I feel we should put them into a safe or something. 8th is what I had hoped for after the qualifying yesterday. Actually it's also what I had expected. Starting 10th I wouldn't have been content with anything less than points.
I liked the fight he had with Rosberg. Ultimately Jenson didn't really have a chance to keep the Williams behind him but he tried and he gave Rosberg a hard time. It was a lot of fun to watch. *g*
Ant had a pretty inconspicuous race. He started 14th and finished 14th and I didn't really see much of him during the race. He did his work in the quali. ;)
Alonso managed the hat trick: Pole, victory and fastest lap. He once more did a great job and now it's only 3 more points. I'm optimistic.
What was pretty weird was Alonso and Ron Dennis on the podium. They really seem to hate each other by now while Alonso and Hamilton are at least still able to work together and act somewhat friendly towars each other in public. Dennis didn't look happy at all - after his drivers had finished 1st and 2nd - and left the podium right after everyone got their trophy. What the hell? Of course it could be the trial as well but they have been acting like that towards each other for a while now. It's just really hard to say what's going on with McLaren at the moment.
