Didn't we just have a comedy episode? I think two of them in such a "short" time (Short, sure. It took forever. Evil hiatus!) is a little too much for my taste. I think one of them every season is great but enough. One main thing I love about the show is the emotional depth it has and Hollywood Babylon lacked that a little. I shouldn't complain we'll probably get more than enough angst and darkness to transform me into a small whimpering ball of misery for the whole summer till season three starts in the season finale *is scared* and it's not like I didn't like the episode. It just wasn't the pure awesomeness I'm used to by now. Or actually it was but not in the way I want right now just two episodes after "Tall Tales".

But enough with complaining. Here comes 40 minutes of really good entertainment with tons of extremely awesome references:

Night, dark woods, an old house and a girl that can't act for the life of her. Kripke gets me almost every time but this time I knew what was going on (and no, I didn't read any spoilers). Maybe because Lost had pretty much the same thing just a few weeks ago. A guy turns up whose acting is even worse - how hard is it to play a bad actor if you actually can act? She screams... or tries to scream. At a tennis ball and... CUT!

"Franky" tells the two main actors that the place it haunted and Tara practises screaming a little bit more. Until she finds "Franky". Yup, I think that's how it's supposed to sound.

Dean really enjoys this tour doesn't he? He probably had a lot of time watching a lot of horror movies growing up whenever he had to look after Sammy while John was hunting.

"Now to the right is Star's Hollow. It's the setting for the television series Gilmore Girls. And if we're lucky we might even catch one of the show's stars."

What's going on Sam? You afraid you could run into Luke or Jess who mistake you for Dean? Or didn't you tell Dean about your secret other life in Star's Hollow. Your brother Dean not the other Dean who'd be you. I know you desperately want a normal life but when you secretly got one did you have to use your brother's name? That's confusing.

"Does it seem like swimming pool wheather to you, Dean? I mean it's practically Canadian."

Really? Hm, maybe that is because it IS Canadian.
I am a little surprised at how okay Sam seems considering that the last time we saw him he had to shoot a woman he really liked. Does anyone know how much times has passed in the Supernaturalverse since "Heart"? Cause I wonder if he really is okay as long as he has something else to talk or think about or does he just seem okay? *is worried*

Dean hears the name Tara Benchley and turns into fanboy mood.

Thiiiiii!

"Don't get me wrong. Everyone at the studio loves the daylies, myself included. We were just wondering if it could be, you know, a little brighter."
"Brighter?"
"Yeah, more colour."
"Brad, this is a horror movie."

I guess that one was for The CW. *g*

And now we learn how fast you can become a PA. Welcome to your new - and probably first regular - job, Green Shirt Guy.. erm, Dean.

"What's a PA?"
"I think they're kinda like slaves."

Wait a second, isn't that guy attending at Asylum Con? Why the hell did they invite a PA to Asylum con? :p

Sam speaking Latin sounds way hotter. Why is Dean eating all the time and how many takes did they have to shoot till Jared managed to say no to the food?

Awww! And there Dean ist back in fanboy mode. Nervous like hell.

"I loved you in Boogeyman."
"Oh god, not that terrible script."

Bwahhhhh! *rofl*

Luckily Jensen Tara takes Polaroids of the people on set and can show Dean a picture of the (not so) dead guy. Dean immediately recognises him. If Sam is a walking encyclopedia of weridness then Dean is a walking encyclopedia of the horror genre.
Franky, also known as George St.James is very alive and obviously another one of Dean's heroes. So: New media and stuff, huh? Actor's playing a film crew member. Which means actors playing actors playing members of the film crew... wait, where exactly is the reality level again? *gets lost*

Back in the movie there's EVP on the sound. Real EVP on the sound for the movie. Not real real EVP. Just real on the show and not part of the movie.
Okay, okay, I'll stop that now.

"If the ghosts are in hell, how do they hear the chanting? I mean, what? They have superhearing?"

Yes, and they write that into the dialogue very subtle. *smirk*

McG! I wonder how many name references I missed in that episode. Or other refernces for that matter. I should watch it all over again and just listen to all the names mentioned.

This time we have a real death and a real ghost and a moment of silence at breakfast.

"Salt? Doesn't that sound silly? Why would a ghost be afraid of salt."
[...]
"What would a ghost be scared of...? Maybe shotguns."
"That makes even less sense than salt."

I was so waiting for Dean to jump in and give them a whole list. He really loves his new job. He even wears a "Hell Razers II" t-shirt and seemingly knows the whole crew by now and he found the EVP. So he didn't comletely forget about his real job.

Erm, when did Dean get his own trailer?
So there's a ghost visible on film and this time Sam knows who it is. They dig her up and and salt'n burn her. A normal night in the life of Sam and Dean Winchester.

While the boys do their job another victim is dragged into the wind machine by another ghost. Eww!

The trailer... okay, I admit, this time I had a short moment of "Bö?"

"This film not yet rated. Also not yet written, cast, shot, edited or scored."

Or in other words: This film doesn't exist. But is has a trailer.

New ghost was cremated and Sam's just watched six hours of Hell Razers II which led him to a new theorie:

"Maybe the ghosts are trying to shut down the movie cause they think it sucks. Cause, I mean, it kinda does."

But then he realizes that the Latin enchantment is real. Took you long enough, Sammy. What, did someone still doubt that Sam speaks Latin fluently and knows every enchantment or ritual there is?

Hey, looks like some Supernatural episodes made it on the big screen:

Anyway: The Latin comes from the original writer Walter and is pretty much all that's left of his script. Erm, is there any PA on the set who really is a PA? Walter knows a hell of a lot about the supernatural but he doesn't know that summoning ghosts never ends good? Doh!

"You're one hell of a PA."

Dean sure is.

"It's just a movie."

Gahhhhh! Sam! I hate that sentence (though I usually rather hear it with "tv show" instead of "movie")

When Walters starts speaking Latin again I totally waited for Sam to answer in Latin and turn this into a fight of will or something.

Erm, why are the ghosts invisible?

Awww, boys. Totally forgot they are on a set where the housees don't have all walls (house... missing walls... empty spaces... hallways... staircases... *house of leaves trauma*). Sam is searching the ghosts with his cell phone and Dean is shooting them. Once again one hell of a team.

Walter destroys the amulet? Is he insane!? (<- rhetorical question) You really don't need to be an expert to figure out that after summoning ghostes and forcing them to kill people they'll be pretty pissed at you. But it's still a little strange that Sam and Dean just stand there and watch him die.

Hihi, I love how they use the camera and shotgun thing in the movie. With another very subtle explanation...

That's the first time that one of Dean's one night stands - which we all know he has - is actually on the show, isn't it? Unless you count mentioning "Good times." in Provenance.

And in the end our heroes walk into the sunset. The fake sunset.

"God, I love this town."

So now we know what things are like on the Supernatural a movie set. Sort of. ;)
