I'm surprises I made it through the race without falling asleep again. Not because the race was boring or something but because I just got 4 hours of sleep last night. I was at "Residenz Nacht" which was fun. Yesterday I wasn't even sure why I had said I'd go there and I wasn't really in the mood but it was definately worth it. We came home about 2 a.m. and I had set my alarm for 6 a.m. for the race:
1. Fernando Alonso
2. Felipe Massa
3. Giancarlo Fisichella
4. Jenson Button
5. Kimi Räikkönen
6. Jarno Trulli
7. Ralf Schumacher
8. Nick Heidfeld
9. Robert Kubica
10. Nico Rosberg
11. Pedro de la Rosa
12. Rubens Barrichello
13. Robert Dornboos
14. Vitantonio Liuzzi
15. Takuma Sato (I'm impressed)
16 Tiago Monteiro
17. Sakon Yamamoto
18. Scott Speed
Mark Webber
Michael Schumacher
David Coulthard
Christijan Albers
Jenson: Is it just me or is the 4th place sort of Jenson's favourite? I'd hoped that him driving a Honda they'd show him quite often in Japan but in fact I hardly saw anything of him during today's race. At the start he easily passed Fisichella but somewhen during the first few laps Fisico obviously overtook him back. I'm glad that he got passed both Toyota in the end at his last pit stop I guess. Of course I'd have prefered to see him on the podium but 4th is really good.
Mark: What happend? Why did he crash? I assume that there was something wrong with the car cause that was a strange corner to drive into the wall.
Championship: Yes, I did cheer when MS's engine blew up. I'm not saying that we already have a world champion because this is formula 1 and anything can happen. But it looks really, really good for Alonso and he's clearly the favourite for the championship now.
When I say Fisico on the podium I just wanted to hug him. Poor guy. I'm surprised he even made it through the race. He looked like he wasn't too far from breaking down. Losing your best friend has to be one of the most terrible things that can happen to you.
