Testing the Water: Fundraising Ideas

You all know my crochet!spn family, right?
No? For those of you who don't, here they are:

Crochet!Castiel was made by
dimturien. Crochet!Dean, crochet!Lucifer, crochet!Crowley and Steve (the hell hound) are all made my me.You can also find some of their adventures here, here, and here.
Now, I'm currently considering fundraising ideas for my Hope To Haiti fundraiser page. One of these ideas is offering to crochet a character of your choice (not neccessarily SPN) to someone who donates to Hope To Haiti via my page.
But before I do, I have two questions for you:
1. Who of you is interested in getting your own plushie?
2. What sort of system do you prefer:
Raffle: For every $5 you donate I will put a slip of paper with your name on it into a box and draw one winner who gets the plushie.
Traditional Auction: You comment with your offer. The highest bidder gets the plushie.
Silent Auction: You email me your offer, without knowing the highest current bid (I may or may not give you hints once in a while). The highest bidder gets the plushie.
[Poll #1728061]
Something else I can offer, is English-German translations and proof reading of German texts. If you need a English-German translation or want your German text checked for spelling or grammar mistake, or if you know someone who does, just contact me at gwaevalarin [at] freenet [dot] de.
Depending on the length and sort of text, I will tell you if (and how fast) I'll be able to fulfill your request. In that case, you'll get your translation or proof reading for free if you promise to donate to my Hope To Haiti fundraiser in return.

Date: 2011-04-09 06:11 am (UTC)I have considered doing some "offline" fundraising as well. Unfortunately, the kind of rural area I live in and an organisation no one here has ever heard of is a really bad combination. Private fundraising like this just isn't common at all around here, unless you're a kindergarten or primary school class maybe.
Good luck with your own fundraiser. It's amazing to see how many people put their time and effort into the Hope To Haiti project.
