What better way to end the year than with a little picspam of those guys, that made fandom such a great and fun place during the last 12 months, right? *g*

10. Peter Wingfield

I hadn't thought about him for a while, but then there was Stonehenge Apocalypse and Caprica, and somehow Highlander came up on Twitter, a topic that just naturally had our full attention on Methos very quickly.

9. Mark Pellegrino

I loved his Lucifer on Supernatural just as much as his Jacob on Lost. Not to mention the man himself at Asylum Europe.

8. Mark Webber

In my perfect world, he is this year's formula 1 world champion. I've always counted him among my favourite drivers, but he has never impressed me more than he did this year. Also, his twitter is a delight to read.

7. Matt Cohen

Matt/fandom is an OTP if there ever was one. I didn't get a chance to meet him again in person this year, but I immensely enjoyed reading con reports of cons he went to, and it is always great to see him around on Twitter where he continues to fanboy us and Misha.

6. Matt Smith

Ten will always be my Doctor, but that didn't keep Matt from stealing my heart as soon as he turned up in the TARDIS (as well as the Confidentials), and take me away on a rollercoaster ride through time and space with him.

5. Mark Sheppard

It's almost like he's been following me around this year. Not only did I meet him at Asylum 5, which was just amazing and left me slightly star struck, he turned up on every other tv show I watched: Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica, Leverage, Warehouse 13, White Collar, and soon he will or won't be on that show they shoot in Cardiff.

4. Jenson Button

The year with the number 1 on his car, his year as the world champion. The year he took over his new team with a smile and his optimism, when everyone predicted he wouldn't stand a chance there. And even though I wasn't always a hundred percent content with his driving this year, he sure as hell proved that it wasn't just luck or the car that won him his championship.

3. Richard Speight jr.

Even though I didn't get to meet Richard again in person this year after all - but that'll change in May :) - he seemed to be around a lot. The Trickster, who I didn't care too much about, turned into Gabriel, my very favourite archangel who I still miss very much. I watched Jericho (and a lot of Pepsi Max adverts) because of him, he finally got a Twitter account and I have now Band of Brothers sitting next to my DVD player waiting to be watched.

2. Sebastian Roché

He stole my heart as Newton on Fringe, as Dr. Kurt Mendel on Odyssey 5 and, most importantly, as Balthazar on Supernatural. I'm honestly at a bit of a loss on how this happened, how I could fall so hard and fast for a character, even before I actually saw my rogue angel on screen, I really am. But there you go.

1. Misha Collins

If you know me at all, I'm sure this is no surprise. He is responsible for Castiel on Supernatural, also known as my favourite tv character of all times, and for Dr. Jacon Glaser on the cracktastic Stonehenge Apocalypse. I saw him at two conventions this year, in May and October, which where both so much fun and in no small parts thanks to Misha. There is Twitter and the Birthday Parade and the Run. There is Random Acts, and there are all the amazing people I met because of him. So, yeah, I guess it's safe to say that no one in fandom shaped my year more than Misha did.

Huh, quite a lot of Mark's and Matt's on that list.

Wait, Peter Wingfield is on Caprica? Okay, reason to start up that show again. I watched the first two episodes and couldn't get into it at all. I found it even more confusing than BSG. And it didn't have the action and humor to keep me captivated. *shrugs*

He is in a few episodes, yes. As is James Marsters.
I enjoyed Caprica a lot. I still haven't seen the finale though.

No, I won't. I'll be in Birmingham a week earlier.

Asylum 6 has the exact same guests as Asylum Europe 2 so far: Jensen, Mark Sheppard and Richard.
I have A6 in May and A7 in October planned this year.

Richard is awesome! I`m glad he will be there again. But no Misha...somehow that feels strange. A con without Misha.
And I am really looking forward to meet Mark.

I'm so happy Richard will be there after he didn't make it to A5. I haven't seen him in a while.
Mark is awesome too, and he has a lot to tell.

It is so strange to think that Misha won't be there. I still can't believe they didn't invite him. I'll miss him. :(
