I hope all of you had a great Beltaine/1st May.

I had. We drove to Zeubelried to meet with my grandparents at 10 a.m. and then my parents, my grandparents, Sissi (their dog), myself (and for the first stage my cousin) walked to Sommerhausen, later to Erlach and finally back to Zeubelried where we arrived at about 5:30 p.m.
The best part was from Sommerhausen to Erlach. We walked some really small paths you sometimes could hardly even make out and the whole world was a thousand shades of green. I don't like the vineyards we have everywhere around here very much but luckily around Zeubelried it's more fields and meadows and woods. It was warm but not too warm. And though sun's not really my cup of tea it was okay today. I even managed to get through this sunny day without getting a headache.
The air was heavy with the smell of spring and woods and rape. There where butterflies and lizards and even a heron. Sissi was dashing and jumping down the paths and through the fields and sometimes all you could see of her were her ears. She seemed to have a lot of fun.
The wind was playful sometimes hiding in the treetops, sometimes calming down just to jump at us a second later, sometimes painting waves on the fields.
At home my parents and I had a little barbeque to slowly end this day.
It might just be me but 1st May, Beltaine, every year feels like a special day. Beautiful and magical.
