Supernatural:
I have very mixed feelings about this episode.

The first few minutes of the episode (and quite a bit of the rest)? Hilarious. Dean learning about slash, Sam knowing what slash is (!), the covers of the Supernatural books, the fangirl. Kripke does know the fandom, doesn't he? There were so many bits and pieces of fandom and existing Supernatural merchandise in that episode, I'll probably have to watch it a few more times to catch everything. And I was so hoping that Kripke'd make a guest appearance as "Carver Edlund".

Castiel? Amazing, especially when he's "not helping Dean". I can't tell you how much I love him by now. He's developed the most amazing sense of humour without even noticing ("You should have seen Luke.") and conspires with Dean because he wants to help. And if he can't break the rules then he's going to find a way to bend them. He's so ready to fall. And that might be a very good idea looking at Zachariah. What's he up to?

But there's a BUT: The whole Sam and Dean meet their fanbase was so very carcktastic that I feel slightly uncomfortable about that being part of the overall storyarc. I was hoping for (and expecting) a solution that would undo the whole thing. Not a Trickster again but something Trickster-y.
...
The Winchester Gospels? Seriously?

The "New New Testament" made me think of "New New York" with the "New New Doctor". I like it when I'm reminded of one of my favourite shows by another one of my favourite shows.

Lost:
I'm not overly impressed by the episode. The part on the island - the whole Ben story and how Jack's refusal to save him is going to create the Ben we know - was great. But the Kate-flashbacks were pretty boring. They built up this whole mystery of what happened to Aaron and Kate won't talk about it and now it turns out that she left him with his grandmother? What's the exciting, possibly terrible thing about that? Am I missing something?
This, however, means that we still don't know what "promise" it was Ben had to keep and why he turned up covered in blood. But we can be pretty sure now that it had nothing to do with Aaron... *is scared*

I thought the same! This is actually what touched me most about this ep. The OMG, no! Penny!!! freak-out I had. Otherwise, I really just wanted Kate to go away. And Ben's dad does not get to be all 'oh hey, I thought I was a good father, but not so much, but hey, I care' after the level of physical abuse he's used on poor Ben!

I think the terrible thing is just that Kate willingly left Erin. Boohoo.

As for SPN, I thought it might have all been a plot by Lilith to get them to stay. That she was actually the author and faked the pages, so Sam would end up in the motel with her. As it was, the ep didn't explain why Lilith was there at all.

I had the same freak-out. And where is Desmond anyway? We haven't seen him for what feels like ages.

Well, I guess Liltih just tracked down the boys because she wanted that deal with Sam for whatever reason and with whatever hidden agenda. I hope we'll find out about that later.
But another thing SPN didn't explain is this: If there are archangels this powerful then why exactly is heaven so desperate right now?

Yeah, I was wondering about that, too. I kept expecting Desmond to be on the plane after all, just maybe stuffed in the luggage section, or in the back or something. But then, we haven't seen much of the new survivors so far. Who knows.

Hm, maybe there's only two or three archangels in total and their job is to protect the prophets and so they have to watch them 24/7 and don't have time for anything else. *shrugs* And besides, they're way too powerful and up high on the command chain to care for such trivial feuds. The whole angel structure seems very ... "Beamten"-like to me. If it's not in your job description, you won't do it. And first rule is to always follow orders without second guessing. ;)

I liked the new Spn episode, i enjoyed watching it. And you know i´m not a big fan of Castiel, but he was ok in this ep for me. :) But i have to say, i didn´t get the joke with "You should have seen Luke!".
