Everyone from my flist, feel free to ask me to choose seven interests from your profile. After I commented on your comment you have to make an entry like this in your Livejournal. :)
These are the interests
linfer chose from my profile:
Andy Gallagher
Andy was a guest character in two episodes of Supernatural ("Simon Said" and "All hell breaks loose") and one of my favourite characters on the show. He's one of the "special children" and has the power of mind control. But he only uses his power for small things like getting himself a cup of coffee. When Sam asks him why he still lives in a van while he could have everything he wants, Andy says: "I've got everything I need." I think that sentence pretty much defines him. Im my opinion he is the only one who'd never have given in to the YED. And even though he theoratically could make anyone do whatever he wants he's probably the most trustworthy guy ever. It hit me pretty hard when they killed him off in the season finale.
Eliza Dushku
American actress. I first saw her as Faith (see below ;)) on Buffy and later Angel. She also played the main character on Tru Calling. From her first appearance on Buffy I couldn't take my eyes off her and she has been my "Sexiest Woman Alive" ever since. ;)
Wind
I love wind and storm in every possible form. Standing on a hill or at the sea and letting the wind play around me is just the best feeling ever. It can appear angry or playful, lazy, cautionary... It feels like freedom and sometimes the wind even feels like a person who keeps me company and protects me.
Urban Legends
I've been fascinated by the supernatural in general as long as I can remember. Urban legends in particular are at least partly Supernatural's fault. At least in the sense that I haven't called them "urban legends" before. I love all those local legends and stories about haunted places. Not just the scary ones but every story that has something unexplainable to it.
Faith Lehane
A character on Buffy and Angel played be Eliza Dushku. Her last name is only semi offical. Joss Whendon announced it for a RPG, I think. Anyway, Faith becomes the new Slayer after Kendra's death. She's drawn to the "dark side" and, well, I've always had a thing for the bad guys and girls especially when they're struggling. You can't really say she's evil. More like struggling and hurt and lonely and maybe even scared. Her character could probably have become pretty cliche but fortunatly Joss is a genius and Eliza just pulls it off. Later she gets her chance for redemption but fortunately still stays the same character. Reminds me that I was planing on watching all seasons of Buffy again this winter.
Southern England
What can I say? I'm just drawn to the British Isles. Especially Ireland and Southern England. Why the south and not the north? I don't know. I just attracts me more. Maybe because I've never been to the north. Whenever I'm in Southern England I feel much more comfortable than back here in Germany. The landscape, the weather, the kindness of the people, the language. I've never understood the concept of patriotism when I was younger. But now I'm kinda "patriotic" for.. well, mainly Ireland but (Southern) England as well. (I try to ignore the contradictions that occure when you love both Ireland and England. ;)). Living there one day is one of my major goals in life.
Celts
I'm nothing near an expert on the Celts. I've read a few books on the subject and I'm mainly interested in the celtic tribes that used to live on the British Isles. Taking a look in the history and mythology of Ireland is probably how it started. I think it's the fact that we know so little about them than intrigues me. There's some pretty subjective reports by the Romans, some archaeological evidence and some stories monks wrote down centuries later and in the process probably changed quite a bit. And that's about it. All of that makes me wonder who the Celts really were.
I thought about studying Celtic Studies for a while but it was right after I had withdrawn from Japanese Studies so I wasn't quite ready for something like that again. That's why it remained a hobby.
