Get inside the duffel bag! Quick!

gwaevalarin *giggles* Kripke always finds a way to bring us something new and unexpected. And the best thing about it: He always finds a way to do that without leaving the Supernatural'verse or making it less believable.
I've only seen one or two episodes of Ghost Hunters but I couldn't stop giggling because this episode was so much like that show. The handheld cameras, night vision, setting up some sort of basis camp, the little interviews cut in between, the "Phases"... just everything.
Some things I especially loved or small things that just caught my attention:
* Cutting from the Supernatural writing into "Ghostfacers"
* The side blow on the writers strike
* The Ghostfacers intro. And this song. I can't get it out of my head. Ahhhhh!
* 7pm is morning to a ghostfacer
* "Love at first geek."
* "Kenny Spruce; Camera, Licenced Shamanologist, 1/16 Cherokee"
* Ed's Dad coming home
* Sam and Dean driving by in the Impala, music blaring
* Sam and Dean swearing. Because they would totally do that all the time if the show wasn't on the CW.
* "Rats are like the rats of the world." Erm, okay...
* Dean constantly rolling his eyes at the camera
* Dean getting into big brother mode. Because when Sam's missing and/or in danger the fun is over.
* The way the whole episode was filmed made Corbetts death really scary and realistic looking.
* But when the ghost gave Sam this party hat... I couldn't help laughing out loud.
* "Listen to me. There's some salt in my duffel. Make a circle and get inside." - "Inside your duffel bag?" - "In the salt, you idiots!"
* We had "good" ghosts once more. One of them even saved theday night
* "You were teaching us [...] about how gay love an pierce through the veil of death and save the day."
* The video of Corbett at the end. Awww, poor guy.
I just realised that this was the relaxing episode before the season finale. *is scared*
Hint of a casting spoiler for season 4 ahead!
Stupid me! I just read a casting spoiler for season 4 that I don't like. I kind of expected it but I'm sad to see it seemingly confirmed. And now my good mood from the episode got a little affected. *sighs*

By the way: I gave the second half of season 1 to my aunt yesterday. I had given her the first half of the season for her birthday. Her reaction: "That's great! I was wondering and hoping you'd bring me more episodes."
Seems like Supernatural has another fan. *g*
