I finally found the time to write a proper "Forever Charmed" review.

The fight is over but Phoebe and Paige are dead - though I'll never understand why Piper stopped looking for Paige after she found Phoebe and Billie - and so is Christy. I don't think that's the way Piper wanted to get Leo back. But she's not going to give up on her sisters. She believes that there is a way to fix this and she is going to find it.
Meanwhile Billie goes the only place that's left for her and asks Dumain for help who tells her that with her power to project herself into the past she might be able to save her sister.

Piper and Leo go to Victor's to tell him what happend and to make sure the next generation of Halliwells aka Wyatt and Chris are okay. They are sound asleep which is a little stange actually. We're talking about the Halliwell family bond here and they didn't feel that their aunts died? Maybe they're just too young for that.
Victor mentions Coop and Piper remembers that he could go back in time to show Phoebe her past loves. So with his ring she might be able to go back too and save her sisters. Of course Coop does everything to help them save Phoebe. He gives Piper a few instructions on how to use the ring, warns her that love's emotional not practical - Really? Who'd have thought? - and then Piper and Leo are ready to go. Let the chaos begin. *g*

"Phoebe..."

Halliwell Manor, bedroom, Patty and Victor... that's not where Piper wanted to go and I'm sure that's not what she wanted to see. Patty and Victor are confused that Piper doesn't freeze and Piper tells them that she is their daughter. That'll need some more explaination. Sometimes I wonder where Chris learnd not to mess with the timeline by telling people who he is cause everyone else in the family doesn't seem to mind.

"Coop'll fix it."

Isn't Dean the one to fix... oops, wrong show.
Piper quickly explains that she was searching for Pheobe - yes, you'll have another daughter in about 9 months - because she and Paige - yeah, right, fourth daughter and since "you" is singular and plural no need to explain that Victor's not her father - died and Piper needs the Power of Three - yes, they are the Charmed Ones - to fix it. Victor is confused and Patty assumes that Piper, she and Grams may be able to recreate the Power of Three. At least in theorie.
Everyone ready?

"Grams..."

Place: still Halliwell Manor. Time: A little too far in the future where Piper and Leo are grandparents and playing Scrabble.

Awww! Future!Piper baked Cookies which is just very... Piper. They give them some tips, some aspirin and tell them that the future is worth saving. Piper has to concentrate on where to got to with her heart not with her head and they "just" have to get rid of the hollow. Next try to get to Grams.

And there she is comforting a young Piper, telling there that she's special and then sending her upstairs. Then she spots Piper, Leo and... "Patty?". And faints. Well, I guess even a witch doesn't expect to see her dead daughter walk through the door like nothing had happend.

Dumain helps Billie to concentrate on her sister and project herself back to where the Triad is still alive. Stop! The Triad?! Come on, Dumain, did you really think she'd not notice? And telling Billie that she has to save the Triad to save Christy doesn't help. Billie feels betrayed and finally realizes that she can't trust Dumain.

Grams slowly comes to her senses and everyone is trying to deal with the information overload and there's still more information to come::

"Well, believe it or not: I am Piper. From the future. And this is my lovely husband Leo. From the future as well."
"But I'm from the past obviously."
"I need a drink."

Did I ever mention how much I love Grams?

Piper and Patty tell Grams that they need her to save the Charmed Ones. It's funny how excited everyone gets about the sisters being the Charmed Ones because when you've been watching the show for 8 years you got completely used to that fact. Having learned she's the Charmed One's grandmother Grams is more than willing to help.

Billie still tries to project herself back to save Christy. She goes back to right before the Ultiamte Battle and tries to warn her Alter Ego and Christy. But they are under the influence of alkohol? No, adolenscense. the Hollow already and won't listen. And then we're back to the moment when everything went wrong. It looks like history is going to repeat itself till Piper, Patty and Grams - and Leo of course - show up and use the Power of Three to bind the Hollow.

For Piper and Billie time catches up with itself but this time the Ultimate Battle isn't fought yet and Christy and Billie escape. But at least everyone is alive. Well, except for Prue. Someone'll have to explain that one to Patty. And wasn't there another consequence of the Ultimate Battle not being fought yet? The Angel of Destiny turns up and takes Leo away again. But hey, that'll be alright because we know he and Piper are going to play Scrabble in the future.

A quick but pretty confusing update for Phoebe and Paige who try to figure out what time everyone is from and which parts of their future they already know about.

"Yes, yes, we know, we're both dead by now. We're over it."
"Well, you speak for yourself."

So, now they have a battle to finish, get Leo back and get Patty and Grams home savely.

"Well, fantastic. Are there any other problems we should be worrying about."

Actually, yes. There's one more. Remember when Wyatt got stripped of his powers in "Kill Billie Vol 2"? He never got them back which caused some problems 23 years later. Please don't ask me why those problems just occur 23 years in the future. I have a pretty good idea how time traveling, destiny and screwed up timelines work in the Charmed Universe but I really can't explain it.
Anyway, Chris and Wyatt show up which by the way means that right now there are 4 generation of Halliwells from 4 different times in one room. Beat that. :

"Somebody just screwed up our future."

That's about the most Chris-esque first line he could have said. And, hell, look at him, I mean... *is lost for words*

Did I mention how much I love his eyes? And his hair is shorter than it used to but it's still just long enough not to be too short which makes it look a little messy. I want to run my hand through it. Erm, Wyatt is really powerful, right? So he'll be able to get his powers back on his own, right? Great. *grabs Chris*

Huh? What? Review? Oh, right, review. Sorry, I guess I got a little distracted. So, where were we?

Billie tries to convince Christy that Dumain's just using them but Christy's mind is pretty twisted by now and I think Billie slowly realizes that she might have to choose between her sister, who's all of her family that's left and what she thinks is right. That's pretty much the same decision Chris had to make in the future when Wyatt was evil, isn't it? He just was lucky to find a way to do both what he thought was right and save his brother. For all we know he'd have fought Wyatt if he hadn't been able to save him but unfortuanlety we don't know too much about this future. We don't even know how the Charmed Ones died. I always had the feeling that Wyatt had something to do with that. Does anyone else see all this potential for angst if someone made a Charmed Sons Spin Off about this future or about the new future all the same and took it to a whole other level than the original show was? Or is it just me because I watch too much Supernatural and got used to two brothers fighting demons = new definition of angst?

But let's get back to the epsiode and I'll try not to get distracted any more though I'll probably fail.
Chris and Wyatt tell the rest of the Halliwell family how Wyatt lost his powers while they (or Wyatt, according to him) were kicking some demon ass.

"Watch your language!"
"Sorry, Grams."

Wyatt obviously doens't know Grams while Chris does. The only explanation I can come up with for that is that Chris remembers going to the past and everything that happend in season 6. Which doesn't make any sense considering... how season 6 ended. But to be honest I'm glad because that means that he's still exactly the same guy he was back then. Do you know what I mean? Though it must be pretty strange to have memories of two completely different timelines.
And, erm, guys, if you were just fighting demons then where is Excalibur? Shouldn't Wyatt have it with him. Plus didn't Billie and Christy just steal his Charmed powers which means he should still have his Whitelighter powers and be able to orb? Oh, wait, the episode is that great that I almost forgot that you don't look for plot holes in Charmed because as much as I love the show it pretty much consists of plot holes.

Piper is sure that Billie and Christy stole Wyatts powers. They'll have to go back in time - again - to stop them. Wyatt hopes that his little self might jog his memory so he'll know exactly where to go back to. And Piper asking Chris if he still knew how to get to Victor's is just another indication that he remembers everything cause if it was a "Do you remember from your childhood?" she'd rather've asked Wyatt. And right now I'm busy trying not to get distracted by Chris' voice and the way he leans against the door frame.
Patty decides to go with Chris and Wyatt to see Victor. I guess there's another thing about her future someone should tell her.

Right before they leave Coop turns up and Wyatt spoils another future event:

"Uncle Coop!"

I love the look Chris shoots at his brother and the whack on the arm. I love how they are brothers now. Just awww! But honestly, why did one of them obviously inherit most of the power and the other most of the intelligence. *shakes head*
Btw. I have the feeling that Chris doens't like Patty that much and vice versa. Wyatt seems to become Patty's favourite the moment she meets them while Chris get's along great with Grams. And Victor of course but we already knew that. It's not really important but I think it's interesting.

Chris, Wyatt and Patty arrive at Victor's exactly the same time Piper and Leo arrived there in the "old past". Victor is confused to see Patty, surprised and happy to see Chris (Awwww!), an even more confused when this guy he's never met before aka Future!Wyatt hugs him. This is so the same situation than when Victor meets Chris for the first time in "Hyde School Reunion." *giggles*
And there's still the fact that his dead ex-wife is standing right in front of him.

"Where did you come from?"
"1975. How do I look."
"Didn't anyone tell her we're divorced?"

No, but I guess she knows now. Chris and Wyatt head for the other room and Victor sympathizes with Patty who's a little shocked. Information overload, again.

Christy makes plans with Dumain and in Phoebe's loft Piper, Paige and Grams make a potion for Billie and Christy. Why do these postions always explode?

Henry comes by to see if his wife is okay. I almost forgot that he was in the show. It's not that I don't like him I just don't really care. Grams isn't too glad about him being Paige's husband:

"Don't tell me she marries a Whitelighter, too."
"Worse. A Mortal."
"Oh, good god. Didn't I teach you girls anything?"
"Hey, what can I say. There's always Uncle Coop."

Who's in the bedroom talking to Phoebe. Coop feels hopeful and Phoebe is confused - who isn't some time during the episode? - because on the one hands it's a forbidden love and she doesn't want that but on the other hand there's the "Uncle Coop"-thing. She leaves to help Piper and just then Dumain shows up and kidnaps Coop.

Back in the Manor Billie shows up, tells the sisters about the Triad and Dumain and that she wants to help. Shortly after Chris and Wyatt are back too with the information that "some man" had picked up little Wyatt the previous day. Hm... Victor wasn't in the room when Wyatt left with Dumain and I'm pretty sure little Chris didn't tell him after he cried for him for help. My favourite scene from "Kill Billie Vol 2" by the way. *squeee* And yeah, I know: Charmed and plot holes.
With Billie's help now all pieces fall into place and it's time to go back in time again with Coops ring to stop Dumain and Christy. When Coop doesn't answer Phoebe's call Wyatt and Chris share knowing looks but they seem not to be sure if they should talk about what they know.

Okay, with this look right there - this looking down. He does that in a few episodes - I'd probably let Chris get away with pretty much everything. But don't tell him.

Phoebe learns that her love for Coop isn't a forbidden love and that she just has to think about him to bring him to her. It works but Dumain already has the ring and can go back in time. But so can Billie.
They go back and the Charmed Ones vanquish the Triad and Dumain. Billie tries to talk some sense into Christy but when Christy attacks them Billie makes her decision and kils her sister. Then she brakes down. It's over.

Back in the Manor everyone waits for the sisters to return. Everythings the way it's supposed to be now. Wyatt got his powers back. Phoebe and Coop are finally together.

The Angel of Destiny returns to bring Leo back.

Victor and Patty show with little Chris and little Wyatt.

"Did we miss anything?"
"Erm, no. Well, we... changed the past, fixed the future and saves the present. That's all."

The only thing left to do is get Patty and Grams back to their times.

"Just make sure you return them just before they were taken. That way they won't remember anything."
"Oh, no. Don't do that."

There's a lot of hugging and cheering and everything's almost a little too happy and sweet but in a good way. *sighs*

Later Piper brings the Book of Shadows for her and her sisters to write down how their lifes went on and we get a glimpse of the future:

Phoebe marries Coop and they have three daughters which seemingly Billie babysits once in a while.
Paige has a son and twin daughters and while Henry goes on looking after his parolees Paige accepts her inner Whitelighter.
Piper and Leo of course have Chris and Wyatt plus their little sister Melinda - yes, as far as I know that's canon. I read that it's in the script. Leo becomes a teacher at rebuilt Magic School and Piper is finally able to open the restaurant she's always dreamed about.

Actually I think that's the only thing in the episode that's a little too much. Of course the sisters write down only the good things but still in my mind I'd rather keep the slightly different future I had pictured before this episode: Piper still living in the Manor with her familie, Paige being a teacher in Magic School - after all Pheobe forsaw that, didn't she? - and being a Whitelighter which means not having time for a family of her own and Phoebe living in New York with her husband, daughter and son coming by once in a while.

But staying in canon: What happend to Melinda? Neither Chris nor Wyatt ever mentioned her in any episode, when they come back from the future she's not with them, there's not picture of her on the wall at the end of the episode and in the really beautifully shot scene when Chris and Wyatt make some potion - which of course explodes - she's not there either.

I know that from the show's point of view she's just not an importat character but let's stay in the Charmed Universe and try to find an explanation there: It's like no one wants to talk about her so I guess either something happend to her or she left and cut all bonds to her family a little like Phoebe did pre-series. Do you see all the plot-bunnies hopping around? Do you see all the potential and possibilities for a Charmed Sons (or Charmed Next Generation) Spin Off? Stupid WB/CW for saying no to that.

The episode ends with Grandma!Piper reading to her granddaughter from the Book of Shadows. I usually don't really like children that much but I totally fell in love with that littel girl. She's so cute. And I think with her dark hair and her telekinetic powers she's supposed to remind of Prue who's really the only Halliwell missing in that episode.

Then Grandma!Piper and Grandpa!Leo walk up the stairs. There are pictures of the members of the Halliwell family who were part of my life for eight years (except for Prue. And Kitty.) and with the music playing in the background I'll probably never be able to watch this scene without having tears in my eyes.

The front door of the Manor opens and some more children rush in, laughing. The cute little girl looks up and telekientically closes the door for the last time at the end of a Charmed season and with the Triqueta the show ends.

& I finally watched it some time ago. Good episode, though still not the best. And my fave Chris-look is somewhere in the middle of Season 6 like ‘Chris-crossed’ or ‘I Dream Of Phoebe’ episodes. The ending is too sweet, I think. I mean, all those kids… Tastes differ. But I’m glad they got rid of Christy, I hated her. & I’m glad Billie survived, she didn’t seem to annoy me that much.
Hoorah! for Chris’s appearance in this episode!

You're right, it's not the best episode of the show but I still love it to bits and I think it's pretty much a perfect way to end the show. Well, except for the future looking a little too perfect. But I can live with that.

Christy was totally annoying. I think Billie was pretty annoying too but I got used to her after a while and though I never really liked her I now think that she's okay.

Hoorah! for Chris’s appearance in this episode!

After reading this I HAD to watch the episode.

My favorite is the "uncle coop"-scene, I watched it several times because of Chris' reaction. *giggles*

I can't decide on a favourite scene but the "Uncle Coop" scene is hilarious. *giggles*
