Fics this excellent tend to leave me incoherent, and this is no exception. The only reason I'm commenting is because NO ONE ELSE has mentioned your use of the phrase "oncoming storm" in reference to Balthazar.
That, milady, is a new high in Calthazar. This whole fic felt like a Goddamn Oncoming Storm, right up until the pitch-perfect ending. My hat off to you.
