What British tv-shows do you like (preferably ones that have at least one series out on DVD)? And could you maybe tell me a little bit about what they're about and why you like them.

The IT Crowd It's about two geeky guys working at the IT Apartment. Their boss is a woman who doesn't understanad a thing. Also, the whole 3 Season DVD Box Set is pretty cheap :o

Uhm Skins The series focuses on the live of teenagers in Britain. I'm sure you already have heard about it somewhere.

Life on Mars is really just great, intelligent television. And, of course, having John can never hurt.

I have heard of Skin somewhere but I've never seen that show or the IT Crowd. *goes to have a look*

I like Merlin - of course. And I won't describe it since I guess either you're watching it or if not you probably know a lot about it because of your flist.

Survivors is a End-of-the-world show, where a virus (I think it's an agressive flu) kills most of the human population and the rest tries to go on. What I really like about it: There is a lot of action in it, but also a lot of heart and a lot of social criticism. And the different ways people find to survive and try to go on is just fascinating to me.

Secret diary of a callgirl is about a ... callgirl - who would have guessed. I think pretty amazing about this show is, that it's about a whore, but it's sooo sweet at times. And it doesn't try to be a OUT THERE, just tells a story about a girl that lives her life with all the problems we all have each day, but happens to be a whore and that happens to be a job she really likes.

Being human is about a ghost, a werewolf and a vampire that live together as roommates in a house and try to live their lifes as unsuspectional as possible. I like it, because it shows what "human" really means ... some characters who actually are human behave a lot less human than these three.

And last not least: Primeval. Great show, great characters, very much on the crack-side, but warm-heartedly and funny.

Primeval is one of my favourite shows and I'm so happy that there's going to be another season after all.
I also love Merlin and Being Human and Billie Piper is just adorable in Secret Diary of a Callgirl.

I've never heard of Survivors, though. It does sound like my kind of show. And since we seem to have a very similar taste that one will definitely go on my amazon wishlist. Thank you. :)

You can get a pretty good impression by watching some clips on youtube ;)
