Brazil 2007
Oct. 21st, 2007 08:32 pmFirst of all:
Congratulations, Kimi!
That was well deserved and I'm really happy for him. He was so close to winning the title at least 2 or 3 times an now he finally did it. :)
But we seriously still have to work on that being happy and smiling.
( final standings )
If someone had told me before that Kimi saves the day I'd never have believed it. I still had hoped that Alonso would somehow close the gap but after yesterday's qualifying I was prepared for the worst. And then after Hamilton's problems Kimi suddenly was in the best position. I'd still have prefered Alonso, but I'm fine with how it turned out.
But please, can it be a little less close when Jenson wins his first championship? Otherwise I'll probably get a heart attack.
Well, aside from the championship the results aren't exactly great.
Jenson drove a great race. He started 16th and the next time I saw his name on the lists he was 10th. So maybe he could have achieves some points in the last race of the season. At least one or two which had helped him up in the championship a little but with this disappointing season he's had it doesn't really matter that much. Fry might be right though: I think Jenson did drive one of his best seasons this year. If Honda'd just finally give him a decent car... Next year. I won't give up hope. He will be world champion.
Mark was Mr. Bad Luck this season. Well, not only but even more this season. Poor guy. And this last race ended just like that. I hope he'll finally have some luck next year so he'll be able to fight for some points and podium finishes instead of always ending up in the gravel with a broken down car,
I think Ant needed some time to learn racing instead of being test driver. But he had some very decent races. I hope we'll see him race again next year. Super Aguri seems to have some major financial problems and I don't think Ant'll be able to pay for his seat.
But do you know what amuses me to no end? McLaren will start with the numbers 22 and 23 on their cars next season. Bwahhh!
I can hardly believe the season is over.
Bye, bye for now, formula 1. See you again in March when hopefully Jenson'll finally be able to fight for the championship.
