I still love this track. Probably my favourite of this year's tracks since there's no race in Spa.

results )

Jenson: I was so glad to see that Jenson made it through the crash after the start by leaving the track for a moment coming back 5th and then overtaking Mark. He had a solid but not very exciting race after that. Even though he had pretty much no chance holding the Ferrari's and Alonso's pace he was clearly faster than everyone else including de la Rosa's McLaren. Of course I had hoped for podium but 4th really is a good result.

Mark: The race looked good for him being 5th after the chaos at the start. But why did he still end up 10th in the end? What happened?

Jacques (and Juancho): With Jenson's victory in Hungary nothing else was important then really but today I noticed how much I miss Jacques. I'm slowly, really slowly getting used to Juancho not being in f1 any more meaning I don't expect to see him on the track - btw did you see that huge colombian flag saying "Miss you, Juan." - But I'm not yet used to Jacques not being there any more either at all. Yesterday when I saw Kubica's BMW leaving the pits my first thought was "Hey! There's Jacques!" till I remembered that it of course wasn't him. *sighs*

Btw: Does anyone know a good english f1 site where you can get all the news, interviews, press conferences etc? Because F1Total is really bugging me with their crappy translation sometimes. Take thursday's pc for example when Jenson and DC were asked if they could reflect a little bit on Jacques' F1 career and his very abrupt departure. F1Total wrote that Jenson had said something like "I don't know Jacques very well [...]". I was like WTBö? Until I read what he really had said: "I don't know Jacques anywhere near as well as DC does [...]" which made a lot more sense.
Why can't they just translate what people say?

And, well, I have to admit what Alonso did out there the last 11 laps today fighting MS was pretty amazing. I don't like Alonso but he really is good. And I'm glad that last race wasn't that close for Jenson because I probably'd have died.
