France 2006 - Is it 2007 yet?
Jul. 16th, 2006 07:10 pmI can't scale down my expectations much further. For today's race I was hoping for nothing more than for Jenson and Jacques to finish the race. If it had been in the top 10 that'd have been great.
( results )
Jenson and Jacques: Most of time they were like twins today. First it was Jacques ahead of Jenson and the second half of the race it was the other way round. Did I ever mention that now with Richards gone Jenson and Jacques as teammates in a more competitive Honda were my formula one dreamteam? I know, we won't ever see them as teammates again but I like the thought.
Anyway I was quite content with them being 11th and 12th. Considering they had started 17th and 16th that wasn't too bad. But then with Jenson having problems with his engine in the end Jacques finishing 11th was the only result this weekend that was okay... despite my really low expectations. And him overtaking Rubens was great. It was one of the really few interesting moments of this race.
Mark: Mark's races... It seems like he's either invisible or screaming "Hey, bad luck! I'm over here!" This time it was one of his tyres. Poor guy.
