I had a feeling that the 'B' wasn't entirely accidental. ;)
It always seemed pretty obvious to me how broken Balthazar is, and that part of his 'don't care' attitude is an attempt to hide that, not only from others but himself as well. I have to admit, though, that with Balthazar being one of my two favourite characters on the show, I do watch him very, very closely.
