I'm also not sure if Dick really is the boss. He is pretty high up the ladder, not doubt, and he is the face they show in public. But what strikes me as a little odd, is that the other Leviathans talk about him as "Dick" when it was always "the boss" before.
This is a really interesting idea! I like it. And, of course, it gives us the possibility Cas is out there somewhere still, possessed by the real Boss, but fighting tooth and nail. I will be on the look out for possible hints to this now :)
I'm planning to do a full review myself, but it's possible the Hunt will steal all my time. Basically, I agree with much of what you say here.
I also really enjoyed the heart-to-hearts in this episode and I was OVER THE MOON about the Cas references in this one. THOSE are the kinds of mentions I've been looking for! God bless you Ben, you Dean/Cas shipper you :)
As to Bobby... I love him to pieces, but the whole tragedy is way overshadowed by Cas for me. I'm just not feeling for him the way I want to :( But, we'll see... I am feeling a little more optimistic now. The fact this episode turned out to be a leviathan one really helped.
