Oooo I really like your thoughts, here, and have to read the rest of these now!! =))) I esp. agree on how you said 'now Cas see's Dean's question as not blasphemy etc'; and I also really like your last lines here, when you mention the great story of Cas's journey on the show -- because I think for Cas, his love hadn't been tested, in a sense.
Ie. He loved humanity/the world because he was supposed to, but it's not the same until you suffer, until you have to choose to love even when that brings you pain and it sucks. Like how God tested Abraham with killing Isaac, and Job as well. I think this, what happened on teh show, is Cas's 'test' in a sense. I think it kind of mirrors also what Jimmy went through--how he first said yes, and it was hard (like being God's soldier and getting Dean out of Hell was hard) but then later on Jimmy gets really tested. And he has to choose, again, to be a vessel, despite knowing what's it's like etc, and leaving his family again.
Anyway I really like these meta posts by you!!! Totally cool =)))!
