How amazing was this episode?

Unfortunately I don't have time for a proper review so just a few thoughts:

When the boys died at the beginning my first thought was that this was getting kind of ridiculous because it has just happened a few times too often for me to still worry. But fortunately Kripke and Co. seem to be fully aware of that and just didn't make it a big deal.
Supernatural's heaven is creepy as hell - no pun intended - and damn lonely. Ash and Pamela seem content enough, though, and I guess they're right: The attic beats the basement. But neither place is one you really want to go to.
Dean's first memory of him and Sammy and the fireworks was just cute. Sam's happy face and the hug he gave Dean. Awww! &hearts
Dean's memory of his mother under Zachariah's control... just cruel. Especially with Sam's good memories being those away from Dean. I know he didn't mean it like that. It wasn't being away from Dean that made these memories for Sam. It was being independent.
So God really doesn't give a damn which is bad for Sam and Dean but so much worse for Castiel. After all these decades he finds out that his Daddy just doesn't care. All those years Castiel kept his faith and did everything he was told and/or thought was right and now, the one time he needs his father, he is basically told to fuck off and leave him alone. Well, not he personally but the result is the same. I'm a little afraid of what this might do to Castiel. He was struggling as it is. Now he really needs Dean as a friend by his side. Because now he literally has no one else left.
Dean throwing away his necklace... that wasn't a message to God. That was a message to Sam. This necklace might be able to find God but that was never what it meant to Dean.
