I was just out doing my favourite item for this years Gishwhes with some help from my Mom, who I can totally recommend as a photographer, by the way (and as a Mom, but she's mine and you can't have her. ;)).

While we were preparing the item, a mother walked by with her maybe 2-year-old child, and the poor girls was struggling and whimpering. She wasn't having a crying fit or anything. She just seemed scared and like she wanted to be anywhere but here.

The mother was dragging her along and downright yelling at her to get up and stop it and: "When Mommy says we go to the playground, then we go to the playground!"

...

What the actual fuck? What's wrong with some people?


Sorry, I have hardly been around lately. I'm mostly on Tumblr these days. But I'll share my Gishwhes items here when the hunt is over, and I hope to write more tv show reaction posts again.

Bad parenting, I've been seeing it a lot lately as well. :/

As for me, I've been doing pretty well. I've been balancing out fandoms on both Tumblr and over here on LJ. I've gotten into some new fandoms (WTNV is one), happy with the ones that have/are coming back and just anxiously waiting for some things to come out later this year.

I love WTNV and I love the fandom. At least the part I've seen seems to be drama free for the most part which is such a nice change. And the podcast itself is so amazing.

I'm still sort of looking for a new "main fandom" now that it definitely is not SPN anymore (then again, I still have the angels). But while I have a few shows that I love, and love to talk about, nothing has really clicked into place yet.

I'm very happy that the new tv season is right around the corner now, and very curious to see what it brings.

I've only seen a little drama surrounding the headcanon of what Cecil looks like, but otherwise it has been incredibly wankfree so far. And I hope it stays that way.

I've been watching a lot of shows and I'm excited for them to come back, but my main ones at the moment seem to be Game of Thrones and Pretty Little Liars. Also, I've been really obsessing over The Hobbit lately, and I honestly cannot wait until December for the second film. :D

My list of shows to watch is so ridiculously long that I have no idea how to keep up with them all. Pretty Little Liars is, of course, still high up that list. As is Game of Thrones.
There are quite a few new shows I'm looking forward to as well. I have high hopes for The Originals and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
