"Liveblogging" SPN again.
This seems kinda pointless now because I don't even care about most of this anymore, and then LJ was down. But I already wrote it so... I don't know, might as well post it.
Erm... I'm not sure if the scene with Jody and Crowley is hilarious, or freaking me out. Let's go wth both, and decide depending on how it ends.
Which better not be but most likely is Jody's death.
Oh, surprise!
...
She is still alive, right?
Okay, seriously, Metatron's trial don't even make sense. Cupid's bow belongs to Cupid. How do you "retrieve" something that is exactly where it belongs? I mean, what?
Can we just stop with Cas of all people not asking any questions even when what he hears is as completely random as the stuff Metatron comes up with?
I love Crowley's contracts.
Don't die. Don't get cured. Please.
Naomi has freelancers. And this angel has a name. That means he is going to die, right? Well, it was nice meeting you, Nathaniel.
Okay, doesn't 'freelancer' pretty contradict the entire concept of what Naomi is doing. And the entire concept of Heaven. And how can an angel be a freelancer anyway? I mean, who else will they work for especially considering that it is obviously accepted.
Yeah, basically show is throwing words around because it sounds good, right?
But Naomi knows about Metatron now. *dramtic zoom* Which I guess at least means that he hasn't been working for her.
So, curing a demons basically means simply turing them back human? Glad we've cleared that up. Does that mean he will be his human self again? Or will he still be Crowley, just without powers and mortal and all the other annoying things that come with humanity?
I don't think I really want to find out.
So, wait, I'm not following. The bartender knows about angels, and Metatron is pretty much fine with being taken by Naomi? Is this going to make sense later, or...?
I see the Winchesters have learned from the Abaddon desaster. Somewhat... you're leaving a demon alone again for no real reason.
And still no one stops to think about whether closing the gates of Hell is really such a smart idea. Even though Metatron brought it up. No sympathy if this ends badly, to be quite honest.
Dean? Just shut up!
So damn tired of him blaming everyone, treating everyone like crap, and about things they had absolutely no control over. I mean really, being soulless was Sam's fault now? Things that happened four years ago, and have been made up for a hundred times over, are still brought up? Really?
But God forbid anyone ever as much as hints that Dean might have done something wrong.
And no, I'm sorry, turning it into a joke does not make it better. Just no.
Oh look, it's Dean's normal reaction to Castiel asking for help. At least there are still some things you can always rely on.
Still ignoring the entire mind control has been going on since forever and going with the headcanon that Naomi just pretends it has. But do people realise that canonically it is all the archangels' fault, and that means Gabriel too? Funny how that seems to be conveniently ignored by fandom.
Yes, it's about locking the angels up so you guys don't have to deal with them anymore. I'm sure that is exactly what Cas wants... oh, wait, no one cares what Cas actually wants so no one will point out that locking the angels up still does not make much sense as a plan to save Heaven.
I'm having some hope for Crowley now, because if it goes wrong we can now blame it on Castiel for asking Dean away. Wohooo!
Easy, Cas. This whole mess is not Kevin's fault. Don't go Winchester on him, darling. It doesn't suit you.
Beware! Vicious demon.
"This is your king. Send help immediately."
I don't know why this was adorable, but it was.
Okay, are you telling me that Metatron's trials and his intentions were legit? That's what I assumed until people who tend to agree with the show told me they thought was (meant to be seen as) shady. But maybe not? Maybe the only reason this storyline is so weird and ridiculous is because the writers couldn't be bothered to come up with a better one?
This would all be so much easier to figure out if I didn't constantly have to take the possibility of major plot holes and bad writing into account.
Wait, so the bartender doesn't know about angels after all? I should pay closer attention to the episode.
Wow, I'm actually impressed that we are all very clear that the plan is for Castiel to be in Heaven when the gates close, that Dean seems to accept it, and that he even kinda calls it Castiel's home.
Wanna bet that the third trial will force Cas to stay on the other side of the gate?
Which will make the entire plan even more pointless, because no one will be there to explain to the angels why they have been locked up. But at least they'll be gone, and Cas will be even more alone - if that is even possible.
And Inias will most likely be locked out. And who knows who else. Mind, why did you have to go there?
But honestly, why is no one ever thinking these things through?
Yeah, saw that twist in the Cupid trial coming.
Crowley singing. You're in a good mood.
Yeah, saw that twist coming too. Hello Abaddon. I'm guessing you're ready to take over and become Queen of Hell?
Come on, Crowley, don't be stupid. She is not here to save you.
Okay, seriously, is Cas mind controlled again or something? Because I don't really recognise him.
Wait, are you seriously killing Abaddon and... oh, no, wait, she escaped.
Oh, look, Cupid is nice and cooperative - Like most angel, if you treat them with some respect; even though we conveniently ignore that most of the time. Can someone finally explain to me what locking them all into Heaven is actually supposed to achieve?
Oh, Metatron is finally getting some depth. And it turns out this is about payback.
So, did Naomi control him to be honest? Or what was the bloody eye about?
Okay, so I guess the cure is showing and Crowley is basically gone already turning back into Fergus. Or something.
This is the version of "cured" I certainly did not want. Crowley as Crowley but powerless could have been interesting. This? Is just taking him away completely.
Wow, this is really painful to watch. Crowley does not deserve this. He deserved to go out in a blaze of evil. I don't like this. Stop redeeming characters who don't need redemption because they are awesome at being selfish and evil.
And the angel trials were bullshit. That's a bit of a relieve because I don't think I could have handled that much nonsense.
So, what was Metatron's actual plan then?
Wait, will Naomi and Cas work together? Will they figure out that in the end they both always wanted the best for Heaven? Will Naomi actually come around?
This is too good to be true, right?
At the very least it will get her killed.
Oh, fuck! No! Nonononono! Don't you dare do that show.
But omg that scene is perfect. Naomi scared for Heaven. Castiel not trusting her for obvious reasons.
I believe her, but I understand why Castiel doesn't. Though I don't understand why he trusts Metatron this much.
This is such a horrible situation. Naomi needs to convince Castiel but she has nothing to work with because she has destroyed ever trust he might ever have had in her. Can Kevin please figure it out and back Naomi's story up?
THIS CAN NOT HAPPEN! It just can't!
Naomi?
I'm crying now. I'm crying because Naomi is coming around, because I'm getting the storyline for her that I so desperately wanted and never in a million years believed I'd get.
But I'm so scared that it's too late and they will finally destroy the angels and Heaven for good. That this time there will be nothing left.
OMG, she is trying everything to win people's trust with pure honesty. There is no manipulation anymore. There just isn't.
I know I probably shouldn't just trust her like this. But I do. Maybe that's stupid, maybe I just too desperately want to but... just look at her.
Naomi, love... *holds her tight*
Cas, no! You have no reason to trust Metatron. Please, no.
I hate how this show has him make the wrong decision for no reason at all. Castiel is smarter than that. And there is no reason why he has to close the gates of Heaven right now. There is no reason why he can't make sure first.
This is just to add more pain. This is just to screw over the angels even more, and destroy them entirely this time.
And I hate it. I hate it so much!
Noooo! Naomi!
I knew it. No angel is allowed to do the right thing and live. Not ever.
At least let that be proof enough for Cas. At least don't let it be for nothing again.
Nooo! How can this get worse by the minute.
This is not how you let Castiel Fall. It's just not.
This is like all my worst case scenarios rolled into one with some additional on top.
Fucking stop taking his choice away. Fucking stop letting bad things happen to him with no silver lining ever. Fucking stop taking everything he cares about, and everything he is away from him and his family.
Just stop!
All the angels. Every single one. And they don't even know what's happening to them. And the worst part is that no one will care.
I thought Castiel falling and heaven closed forever would be the worst case scenario, but this is so much worse.
They actually managed to take everyone away from me. To destroy everything I cared about. It's all gone.
I was afraid of Castiel losing his home for good in the finale. Instead they all lost their's. And so much more.
Every single angel. Every. Single. One.

I think there is hope for Crowley, the trial wasn't completed. Also Naomi as she wasn't stabbed with an angel blade.
*hugs*

As for Naomi: I've seen several people point that out but... experience tells me that doesn't mean anything and she is gone.
no subject
I'm sad to say that experience is probably correct and Naomi is gone :(
To end on a different shallow note, I've long wanted to handcuff Crowley to a chair ;)
no subject
I'm pretty sure Crowley generally prefers to handcuff other people to chairs. ;)

Hey depending on what he had planned next I'm fine with that too! ;)
