Angels are watching over you

Hello show, welcome back. :)

Anna is back. And brainwashed into firmly believing that she has to kill Sam to stop Lucifer. Which does make sense. But still not going to happen as long as Dean and Cas are around.

Awww, Cas. You sure have changed. "Sam Winchester is my friend." I can't even tell you how proud I was of our angel in that scene. Or the whole episode for that matter. He would do anything to save Sam by now. Probably mainly because he knows how much Sam means to Dean but also because he found this touch of humanity in himself where you don't sacrifice your friends for some "greater good". He's truely and completely part of Team Earth. Or Team Free Will, as it's semi-officially called now. That group of little, unimportant humans (and one angel) that are going to change their destiny. You just watch them.
I'm a little sad that, plot device-wise, they got rid of Castiel by just leaving him unconscious.
But damn, he is getting weaker and he definitely has learnt too much from Dean when it comes to self-sacrfice. Don't you give more than you can take, Cas, do you hear me?

A special kind of family reunion in the past. The look on Sam's face when he met his mother. His talk with John. I love how John despised everything he's going to do and Sam is the one to justify it. And he even finally gets to tell his father that he loves him. In a way.

Now we also know why Mary didn't listen to Dean when he told her not to go into the nursery that night. And why Mary still tells her sons that angels are watching over them. Well, it's true. Cas is watching over them the best he can.
No free will? The way I see it, the only reason there is no free will is because the angels intervene whenever someone dares to take a path that was not planed. Becaus otherwise the future would have changed.

Which brings us to Michael. Now I know where Lucifer got his ability to sweet talk everyone into trusting him. He learnt it from his big brother. Because I almost want to trust and like Michael. Just the way I almost want to trust and like Lucifer. But I won't.
I'm not so sure why he killed Anna and saved Sam. Probably because he knows that Sam is the way to get to Dean. Dean wouldn't have said yes to save Sam. Not any more. So Micheal needs to be a lot more subtle and find another way. And saving Sam always is the first step to gaining Dean's trust.

Wasn`t this episode great!! And were back in the Michael/Lucifer game. No more fooling around with dumb teenagers and unimportant supernatural amateurs.

I LOVED this episode! I mean Amy and Matt are awesome, you just have to love them. And the moment where Dean told Mary that she was not there to raise them, that she died while Sam was a baby...gosh it was heartbreaking!

This episode had everything, it was funny and moving. (But I still want Bobby back! Couldn`t they have met a younger version of Bobby! Hippie hair and trucker cap! That would have been great.)

Still not a lot of Cas. Which -I`m sorry to say- wasn`t that bad. I don`t like this mysterious search for God-thing. Where is he looking for him? Is he flying through heaven with spyglasses?

I can`t wait for the next episode...and then hiatus. How can they do that!!

Hehe. I'd love to see that.

I don't mind Cas's search for god story line. I just wish we'd see a little more of it. Like you say: Where's he looking? How is he trying to find him?
