Wow, just.. wow!
Three weeks ago I wasn't even sure I'd ever see Jenson drive a formula 1 car again. To be honest, after Honda had announced their withdrawel from Formula 1 I was so close to giving up on the sport altogether. But the team fought, and they came back and the few tests they had went great. So great that I really started to look forward to the new season. I even started to feel optimistic again after 4 years of hardly anything but disappointment - aside from Hungary 2006, of course.
So when the qualifying started I was expecting Brawn GP to make it into the top 10. I was even secretely hoping for top 5. But pole? I never ever dared to hope for that. Jenson P1 and Rubens P2. They even mentioned it on German radio news. It feels so unreal. Please don't wake me up from this.
Seriously, every predictable Hollywood movie would go exactly like this: Things look back, then they get worse, then they get catastrophic and then there's a happy ending. Just in this case the happy ending is hopefully rather a happy new beginning.
So tomorrow morning I'll be sitting in front of the tv and keep my fingers crossed as hard as I can so with some luck we might finally see Jenson back on the podium and maybe - but I still hardly dare to hope for that - even celebrate his second win. But honestly, I'll be happy when he finishes somewhere in the points. Because even that has been far too long.

The important thing for now is that Brawn GP made the first and most important step: They can take part in the championship. And they have a competetive car to do so. Now we'll have to wait and see what they can make of that.
I finally remember why formula 1 used to be so much fun when I started to watch.

And now I'm going to write an e-mail to RTL because it would have been nice to see Jenson's and Rubens' part of the press conference, too, thankyouverymuch.
