Thunderstorms
Did I ever tell you how much I love thunderstorms?
You look at the horizon and see the black clouds heading towards you and the wind is chasing around through the trees like it's really excited about what is going to happen and then the sky suddenly gets dark and the rain starts pouring down. There's thunder and lightning all around you, so much energy and most important there's the wind seemingly having so much fun playing and blowing outside.
And after a while everything slowly calms down again until it's almost completely quiet, just a little more rain, once in a while some lightning far away and the air smelling fresh.
I could spend hours sitting here at the open window watching all this - while Ronja's watching the world through the other window. Do you know the saying that pets and their... humans are often quite alike? I think that has some truth to it - drinking some tea and thinking about nothing special. I just let my thoughts travel with the wind and enjoy the moment.
