Just a few more pictures from London, and a few from Dublin. Unfortunately, on my trip to Dublin wasn't enough room for my DSLR and the laptop in my hand luggage, so I had to work with my old compact camera.

The day after "Much Ado About Nothing" we took the Tube all the way to Kensington Olympia to see the Doctor Who Experience.

As you may or may not know, crochet!Castiel and crochet!Balthazar came to London with me last weekend. I had planned on only taking crochet!Cas but crochet!Bal wouldn't let me and I wasn't too keen on being smitten.

This post contains Cas/Bal )

Crochet!Cas and crochet!Bal both came to Dublin with me as well, to keep me company, and because they've discovered they quite like being on holidays.

How season 6 should have gone )

That's all for now. I'm not sure I'll have time to take the angels for a little more sightseeing in Dublin. But if I do, I'll take photos.

I live in this small city with a population of about 20,000 that hardly anyone has ever heard of. But now we have this horticultural show, which will run for another two months. They worked on it for way more than a year, not only preparing the actual premises but beautifying the entire city centre. We have quite a lot of tourists now, and I'm sure they are not disappointed by what they find. The whole project all turned out great, and I hope that it will leave a lasting mark on my city long after the actual show has closed down.

Naturally I tried to capture a few impressions:

It has always been a garden city )

This is the last batch of Asylum 6 photos. Only the masterpost missing now, and then I'll stop spamming you.

Front row seat for the concert means that I have so many pictures that I have to split them up into two posts if I don't want to risk breaking LJ. ;)
For some reason, a lot of my pictures are of Richard again. I blame it on the fact that Mark wasn't there.
Also: Sorry, Jason! I know it was actually your concert, and there would be more pictures of you, but the microphone and your guitar was always in the way.

I was late for Jared's panel, so I stood in the far back of the hall. I was pretty far back for the J2 one as well. That's why I hardly have any photos of those two panels. And the ones I have aren't too great. They are still better than the "good" ones with my old camera, though. And it's the only ones of Jared I took all weekend. So I decided to leave them here for you anyway:

Here are 74 pictures of Richards panel. The only part of the con of which I have more pictures is the Saturday night concert. And a big part of those are of Richard as well. Seems I can never resist an angel.

I'm back from a fun Asylum 6.

No detailed con report this time from me, I'm sure there are plenty out there. I brought tons of pictures instead. I'll post them panel by panel, so expect picspams in the next few days. My photo-ops will follow as soon as I get them. So far, I only have my Richard op. I'm still missing Mark and Richard, Cindy, Gen, and Danneel.

The guests, autographs, and a concert gone mad )

Last but not least, thank you so much [livejournal.com profile] seriesjunkie23, [livejournal.com profile] hugemind, [livejournal.com profile] absdax, [livejournal.com profile] myjedimindtrick and @margauxdemerle for being generally amazing people to hang out with. The con could never have been that much fun without you. I miss you guys, and I hope to see you again soon.

And now have a few photos from the Opening Ceremony as a teaser of what is about to come:

Awesomeness under here )

With these beautiful, warm spring days, I took the chance to get used to my brand new camera and all the creative possibilities I have now. It's a Canon EOS 500D if anyone is interested. My very first DSRL. I am so much looking forward to taking photos at Asylum 6, and I'm determined to know by then how to work with the lighting there to get acceptable results.

Anyway, here are my favourite pictures of my two day photo safari in the wilderness of our garden, and while we're at it, I'll introduce my girls to everyone who doesn't know them yet:

First of all I have to say that this time things ran really smoothly. Apart from Saturday morning we were pretty much always on time which has to be a first. There was no standing around in queues for ages either and despite having 6 photo ops and two coffee lounges I missed very little of the panels. The attendees were amazing too, there where hardly any inappropriate questions and the guests were simply fantastic and just had a great chamistry together.

I finally remembered to take my camera with me yesterday when I went for a walk. It was a very sunny early autumn day and my usual route took me about twice as long. Here are some of the reasons why.

I have a few more photos here in my scrapbook

Please don't repost, alter or otherwise use these photos without my permission. Thank you.

Today is the big day for Random Acts and Misha when he's going to run as far as he can for charity. And because that is such a great cause, there's a lot of support in this household.

Run, crochet!Castiel, run! )

Misha just started running so if you can, please support him and Random Acts by making a pledge per km or a flat donation. :)

As always, my camera sucks in badly lit rooms but I decided to still upload a few of the pictures I took during the panels.

This year, for the first time, we managed to have proper sunflowers in our garden. So I took my camera to get a few sunny impressions on a not so sunny day.

Pretty pictures )

Where there's photos there has to be cats.
